Edwards & Dreher Pace Southside 68-39

A team with just 2 seniors and a slew of sophomores isn't supposed to make things look easy on the court but Southside is rolling their competition and did it again on Wednesday night. Come inside the latest on the #1 ranked team in AA as they played in the first round of playoff action as sophomore Robbie Dreher (pictured) continues to impress.

The Southside Tigers have continued to be the class of the state in AA basketball thus far and Wednesday night they showed why. Sophomore standout SG Robbie Dreher scored 20 points to help lead the Southside Tigers to a 1st round victory in the AA playoffs over Palmetto High School 68-39. The Tigers started slowly but amped up their defensive pressure in the second half and the game was well in hand shortly into the second half.

Dreher lead the Tigers with 20 but teammate Justin Edwards also added 17 points on the night as well. Edwards was recently named an all-state selection in AA by the South Carolina Basketball Coaches Assocation.

The Tigers will next face Saluda High School which features South Carolina Gamecock commit SG Trevor Deloach who is always tough to slow on the offensive end. All eyes will be on Saturday's matchup between the two squads in the 2nd round of the AA playoffs. Deloach is a tremendous scorer who will have the attention of the Tigers from the outset and will easily pose the most talented player the Tigers have faced this season.
