Andre Ellington: Picking Up Offers In A Hurry

Andre Ellington had a monster season last year and his efforts are coming to fruition as he already holds some big offers from major D1 programs. SCPrepNation.com sat down with Ellington for the very latest. Come inside for all the details.

Berkeley High School running back Andre Ellington has been generating interest from several big-time programs. He recently picked up his third scholarship offer in less than three weeks. Who was the latest school to offer the low country standout?

Andre Ellington was on hand last Thursday evening at South Carolina checking on Coach Steve Spurrier and the Gamecocks "I was attending one of their (spring) practices. I got to spend some time with Coach Spurrier Jr. He showed me around the stadium and around the campus."

However on the way home from Columbia, Ellington's coach, Jerry Brown, who accompanied him on the visit received a phone call. "It was Coach Spurrier Jr. He called and told Coach Brown that they wanted to offer me a scholarship." An offer from the Gamecocks made them the second SEC school to put in an early bid for the talented prospect. The University of Kentucky was the first of the SEC school to offer Ellington a scholarship. This offer brings his overall total to three with Clemson being the other. "Currently I do not have a leader," said Ellington.

SCPrepNation.com will have more on running back Andre Ellington as he continues to prepare for his upcoming senior campaign.
