Day 1 of the Kingwood Classic is in the books. The lone entry from South Carolina, the Carolina Celtics, took their winning streak to Houston, Texas to see just where they stand against the rest of the country's elite 16U AAU teams.

Friday night saw the Celtics face the Utah Pump N' Run White. We don't have any specifics on the game yet but our Celtics seemed to have an pretty easy time of it winning the game 64-45.

Saturday the Celtics took on the East Texas Ballers at 3PM. The Celtics had another impressive showing as they won walking away 71-42 setting up an evening showdown with an area based team in the Houston Shocks (TX). The Shocks also entered the 7:30 PM battle undefeated in pool play with an identical 2-0 record. The Celtics came through with yet another victory against the Shocks setting up an 8 AM matchup on Sunday versus the Oregon Lords.

The early 8 AM tip off didn't bother the Carolina Celtics as they advanced past the Oregon Lords. In their next matchup of the day the Celtics will face the Birmingham Storm at 11:30 AM.
