Week 4 Games - The Pigskin Prophet Debuts

Recently we asked some of our readers to help out in providing predictions and write ups for the weeks games. Big C does a great job with the 4A and has a pretty good winning percentage going in 2002. The Upstate Pigskin Prophet debuts this week as the newest feature on SCPP. Each week he will cover games around the Upstates and the 3A ranks from around the state. Thanks to all that donate their time to help SCPP.

1.  Cinton (2-1)  @ Belton-Honea Path (2-1)

Clinton and BHP both share a similar trait,  a loss to Laurens.  Clinton is a sound ball team, as is BHP.  Clinton should be better recouped from thier tragic loss frm their team.

Clinton 28  BHP 21

2.  D.W. Daniel (2-1) @ Easley (0-3)

Daniel is not showing thier normal strength so far.  Easley is just not good.  Daniel should pick up win # 3.

DWD 25  Easley 12

3.  Greer (2-1)  @ Berea (1-2)

Greer ran the score up on a poor Chesnee squad last week.  Berea squeaked by Travelers Rest.  Look for Greer to have a similar week.

Greer 42  Berea 14

4.  J.L. Mann (2-1) @ Greenville (3-0)

A tough loss to Broome last week, ( a team that Greenville blanked a week before)  Should have the Patriots trying to prve they still are a good football team.  Unfortunately the Raiders will be too much.

J.L. Mann 21  Greenvile 35

5.  Riverside (1-2) @ Eastside (1-2)

Riverside picked up thier first win under thier new coach last week against a poor Southside team.  Eastside did the same against a strugling Easley. This game may be ugly, but it should be close.

Riverside 14 Eastside 7

6.  Batesburg-Leesville (3-0) @ Newberry (3-0)

These two traditional powerhouses square off in what should be of  the best contests in the state this week. This should be Newberry's first real test this year.  B-L can use this opportunity to show off their strength.

Newberry 35  Batesburg-Leesville 28

7.  Chesnee (0-3) @ Gettys Broome (2-1)

Broome has had a decent start this season. Chesnee has strugled through thier first 3 games, this week will be no different.

 Chesnee 14  Broome 32

8.  Gaffney (1-2)  Union (3-0)

The Indians lost there first two games to 2 very good opponents ( Rock Hill & Aiken).

Last week theywon a shootout with North Augusta.  Union edged Spartanburg in OT in week 1 Then Stormed Lugoff- Elgin and Fairfield Central.  Gaffney needs to get past the Yellow Jacket Secondary in order to move the ball. Union QB needs to show the poise he did last week in order to down the Indians.  I see a long football game here.

Gaffney 28  Union 37

9. Camden (2-1) @ Lugoff-Elgin (1-2)

After a loss to Sumter, Camden has been on a roll. The demons have lost 2 straight and are looking to rebound and turn around thier season against a very good Bulldog team.
