2008 Intro: Stratford High's LB C.J. Missick

Last year linebacker CJ Missick has a monster season amassing over 150 tackles for the Stratford Knights. SCPrepNation.com caught up with the 2008 standout to get the very latest on his recruitment. Come inside and meet the star linebacker from Goose Creek, South Carolina.

Meet C.J. Missick, a 6-0, 192 pound stud linebacker for the Stratford Knights. Missick is a very aggressive linebacker who loves to hit and is a sure tackler on the field. C.J. currently reports a 4.58 in the forty yard dash, 22 reps of 185, and an amazing vertical leap of 39 ½ inches.

When asked to give a synopsis of his game style Missick responded saying, "I'm an aggressive player, and a hard hitter on the field. Some linebackers don't like taking on offensive lineman, but I am a very physical linebacker who's not afraid to take it to them." He also informed SCPrepNation.com of the areas he would like to improve on as well. "I want to improve on my covers skills," Missick said. "I would like to improve in that area so I can get a few interceptions this year."

After tallying 152 tackles (119 solos), and 20 tackles for loss, the rising senior is hoping to parlay that production into a few scholarship offers in the coming months. "I've been getting a few letters from Tennessee, and South Carolina," CJ said. "SC State, and Newberry, and Central Florida have been in touch with me by phone."

SCPrepNation.com will have more on C.J. Missick as his recruitment continues to crank up so stay tuned.
