UP NEXT: BHP's Stephon Williams

Belton Honea Path has produced some great linemen over the years and they have another one in 2008 stud Stephon Williams. Inside we introduce you to Williams as he's one of the most underrated linemen in the Palmetto State in the 2008 class.

Stephon Williams is an offensive linemen. We mean that to the fullest extent as he's played center, guard, and tackle for the Belton Honea Path Bearcats. BHP has had some great linemen over the years and Williams is ready to have his season in the spotlight. SCPrepNation.com showcases another big time player who has flown under the radar when it comes to major D1 schools. Expect that all to soon change for Mr. Williams.

Standing 6'3 and weighing 292 pounds Stephon has great size is already hearing from a number of local schools. Williams recited that list of schools for us. "I'm hearing from Clemson, Vanderbilt, Middle Tennessee State, Elon, Liberty, Presbyterian, South Carolina State, Coastal Carolina, Charleston Southern, and Newberry." His outstanding play has already earned him offers from some of those schools. "I have offers from Presbyterian, South Carolina State, Newberry, and Elon."

With great size and coaching Williams says his technique is one of his primary strengths on the field. He also says that he wants to improve on many other facets of his game but primarily his strength this offseason.

BHP has been one of the top teams in AAA over the years and we asked Williams what games he was most looking forward to next season. "Westside because its kind of a fun rivalry, there's no hatred but it's just bragging rights. Another one would have to be against Greenville. After the close finish in the game last year it should be another great battle."

That game against the Red Raiders stood out to Williams as his best performance to date. "The Greenville game last year was my best game. It was for the region championship and the top seed in the playoffs."

Williams has played against some of the best defensive linemen during his career but two players in particular as the toughest opponents he's had to face. "Barry Humphries and Wilson Norris would have to be the toughest players I've ever faced."

Colleges should also take note that Williams is a standout in the classroom as well with a 3.0 GPA and scoring a 24 on the ACT.

SCPrepNation.com will have more updates on Stephon Williams as the offseason winds down and his recruitment starts to heat up.
