DeAndre Richburg: Picks Up 1st Offer

Berkeley High DE/SS DeAndre Richburg has been anxiously awaiting his first scholarship offer. The wait came to an end this past week. The lowcountry standout received his first offer from an in-state school. Come inside for more details.

SCPrepNation.com received a call late Thursday evening from Berkeley High's DeAndre Richburg. "I just picked up my first scholarship offer today," Richburg said. "Presbyterian College sent me an offer in the mail. Man it feels great!"

According to Richburg Presbyterian has been keeping tabs on him from day one. "PC has definitely been recruiting me pretty hard," Richburg said. "Coach Reuben Wright and I have been in touch a lot. Coach Wright is a real down to earth person. He definitely knows what he's doing. I've been enjoying everything that's been going on so far."

At 6'3 220 pounds Richburg reports a 4.6 forty yard dash, a vertical leap of 32 inches, and a squat of 560 pounds. Last season Richburg recorded 50 tackles, and was awarded the team's Most Improved Player award. With the start of the new season rapidly approaching, Richburg has set aside a few personal goals. "I just want to go out there and keep doing my thing on the field, Richburg said. "One of my goals this year is to be one of the leading tacklers on the team. I want to do whatever I can to make the team a success."
