Seasoned vet Jerome Jackson will be lining up under center once again to lead the Cougar's offense onto the field. His top target will be 6-0, 180 pound WR Jewaun Wynn. Whenever it is time for the Cougars to put it on the ground, they will call upon ATH Kendrick Capers. Upfront the Cougars will rely heavily upon a very young, but talented group of sophomores to anchor the O-line unit.
Style of Offense: Multiple (Single Wing & Spread)
Key Players on Offense: QB Jerome Jackson, ATH Kendrick Capers, WR Jewaun Wynn, WR Cory Washington
The defensive front will be one of the biggest concerns for the Cougars this season. This unit took a big hit from a season ago. Most of the holes were filled during the spring with a talented, but untested group… ATH Kendrick Capers has locked down a starring role on the defensive side of the ball as well. However, it remains questionable where he will get the most of his minutes. Will it be with the linebackers or with the secondary unit…? The Cougars will have a young, but talented group in the secondary. This unit showed a lot of promise during the spring and could be ready to emerge this fall.
