Asheton Jordan Q&A

SM: Being such a talented athlete at various positions on the field, what possibilities have the Tarheels been discussing with you?

AJ: They've been looking at me as an ATHLETE. We've been talking about several different options. We've talked about possibly playing a little bit of running back, a little bit of receiver, or maybe little bit of free safety.

SM: How well do you think you would fit into Coach Davis's system?

AJ: I think I would make a real fit good fit into their program. I feel like I am a good athlete who can run the ball effectively and catch out of the backfield very well. I really like how Coach Davis has been rebuilding the program. I think I would do very well.

SM: Which member from the UNC coaching staff have you been in contact with mostly?

AJ: I've been talking with Coach Blake a lot. We talk about once or twice every two weeks. Coach Blake seems like a really nice person. He's been telling me a lot about the campus, and how nice it is up there.

SM: While camping with North Carolina, did you have a chance to check out the campus much?

AJ: Yes sir, I got to see a little bit of the campus. The parts that I saw were really nice. I will be scheduling an official visit this football season so I can check things out a little more.

SM: Who else has been in the running for you services?

AJ: I've been getting a lot of letters from South Carolina and North Carolina State has been sending me a few things here and there.

SM: I heard through the grapevine that you also play a little basketball. Are you going to try and walk on the basketball team?

AJ: No sir. No way…Oh No!!! (Laughing)

SM: Is there a commitment date coming soon that should be aware of?

AJ: I'm not quite ready to make any decisions yet. I probably won't do anything until the season starts. But North Carolina is definitely on top.
