Week 1 Offensive
Player of the Week

This one was tough we had a number of outstanding performances in the Palmetto State during Week 1 of the season. We weighed the numbers and deliberated for quite some time. In the end we decided that there was a tie this week for offensive player of the week. Two outstanding running backs Dutch Fork's Tavarris Counts and Timberland's Rockarius King had gigantic nights on Friday.

Counts had the game of his life running for 374 yards and 2 touchdowns. King on the other hand turned in another brilliant performance rushing 17 times for 223 yards and 5 touchdowns. We will speak with both players for updates on their recruitment and to talk about their performances so stay tuned.

The following players were on the short list of players we considered and make our honorable mention for Week 1:
Landrum RB Brandon Provo
Greenville WR/QB Chris Wallace
Westside RB Montez Hatten
Chapman RB Reggie Davis

The following players were on the short list of players we considered and make our honorable mention for Week 1:

Week 1
Team of the Week

We might catch some flak for this selection but regardless of a loss we were impressed with Berkeley performance against a D1 loaded squad in their 26-23 loss to First Coast (FL). FC boasts a ton of major D1 talent being recruited by college programs all over the country and Berkeley gave them all they could handle.

Know a player that should be nominated to be our player of the week? Email us at SCPrepNation@aol.com with their team, position, and stats no later than the following Monday.
