UP NEXT: Berkeley 10' WR/FS Bruce Ellington

Although the attention has been heavily focused on his more famous running back cousin Andre Ellington, this class of 2010 prospect has managed to turn the heads of several spectators in his own way. Come inside with SCPrepNation.com and meet Berkeley High's WR/FS Bruce Ellington as he's the latest player to be featured in our "UP NEXT" series.

Meet Bruce Ellington, wide receiver and free safety for the Berkeley Stags. Bruce is the younger cousin of 2008 Clemson commit and 4-star running back, Andre Ellington. Checking in at 5-11, 180 pounds and reportedly clocking a 4.47 in the forty yard dash, Bruce undoubtedly has the potential to become quite an intriguing prospect for the 2010 recruiting class.

With two weeks of high school action in the books, Ellington has already turned in a couple of worthy plays for the 2007 highlight reel. In Berkeley's season opener against First Coast, Bruce showed off his skills by turning a short screen pass into a 42 yard play. "The defender almost stopped me for a short gain, but I broke the tackle and took the ball up field," Ellington said. "I was so close to scoring on that play; they stopped me right at the goal line." The following week against Fort Dorchester, Bruce returned a punt 73 yards to set up a 4 yard TD run by Andre.

Bruce has always been known for having a strong competitive drive. He is always striving to get better at what he does. Ellington discussed with SCPrepNation.com, the areas where he would like to improve. "I really want to continue to get faster and stronger as a player," Ellington said. "I want to continue working hard in the weight room. As far as on the field, I really haven't been "in the zone" yet, but I'm going to work real hard in order to make that happen this year."

During our interview with Bruce, we found him to be a very unique kid. He has such a fun-loving side to him that you just truly enjoy being around. He's the type of person that you can kid around with. He's a kid with such a great attitude. He is confident, but not overconfident. He is the type of prospect that college coaches will have a joy recruiting…
