Bamberg QB Chris Presley Holds 2 Offers

Chris Presley has opened some eyes during his career and he currently holds 2 scholarship offers. With more programs taking a harder look, the Bamberg Ehrhardt star gives us an update on his recruitment and outlook for the rest of the season. Come inside for all the scoop.

It's not hard to get caught up in the shadow of Daquan Bowers when he's your teammate but Bamberg Ehrhardt QB/WR Chris Presley has actually used the attention his teammate has garnered to bring some looks his way. Presley spoke with us about his recruitment and talked about the upcoming games in the regular season for his team.

Local schools South Carolina and Clemson have been showing some interest in Presley but he holds scholarship offers from Buffalo University and South Carolina State. The school from New York has been on Presley the hardest he says but he's far from making a decision. Presley is wide open he says and will probably wait until Signing Day or close to it to make a final decision.

Both schools tendering him scholarship offers are recruiting him as a quarterback.

Currently Bamberg-Ehrhardt is ranked #1 in the state and Presley talked a little about the trials and tribulations of being the team everyone is gunning for. "It feels good to be #1 in the state but we have to continue to work hard. We have a lot more to accomplish."

Speaking of hard work this offseason the 2008 prospect says he put in plenty of work in the weight room. "I've been trying to get faster, stronger, and also work on my footwork as well." Currently Chris says he has maxes of 245 pounds on the bench press, 400 pounds on the squat, and runs a 4.4 in the 40 yard dash.

As for the rest of this season you don't have to look too far ahead for what Presley feels is one of their biggest games left on the schedule. "I'm looking forward to playing Blackville this Friday. It's a rivalry game plus if we win this one we will win the region. We still have other games left though against Estill and "

The goal remains the same for Presley and his teammates in hopes of staying on top of the rankings and hoping that it will culminate in a state championship. Along the way though Presley wants to throw the ball more in search of more passing yards which is something that may be beneficial to their attack since so many opponents will be keying on the run.

During his career Chris says he's had his toughest opponent every day in practice in teammate Daquan Bowers. Aside from Bowers though he says that during his 9th grade season he saw another menacing player who was a really tough hombre. "My 9th grade season I played against North and they had this guy, I can't remember his name but he was a linebacker #3.
