McClinton's move to Hargrave came as a surprise but so far it's been a great move for the 2008 prospect. "I'm getting used to the military lifestyle but it's getting better." The move to the military school McClinton says was a personal decision for McClinton and was the best for he and his family.
We asked him what's the toughest part of his move and he quickly responded, "Being away from girls and my friends!"
Currently a nice mix of schools are recruiting McClinton actively he says. "I'm hearing from Kentucky, East Carolina, Southern Mississippi, North Carolina, Middle Tennessee State, and Marshall the most now. Out of those schools Southern Miss and Kentucky are probably recruiting me the hardest."
When asked if he had a new list of favorites at this point in time he replied, "Kentucky is my leader followed by Southern Miss and North Carolina. I'm open to anybody though and I don't want other schools to think otherwise."
With a hectic schedule at Hargrave things have been really busy for McClinton but he says he's already planned to take a few visits in the near future. "I will be going to Marshall and Southern Miss real soon."
Offers could be in the near future as he says many schools are wanting to see his senior year film here soon before extending a scholarship.
Being at Hargrave provides a different opportunity for McClinton in that he goes up against some of the top players in the nation everyday in practice and against some more mature and older players during their games. McClinton talked about how things have gone thus far at Hargrave. "It's been real exciting going up against the best everyday."
One area that has McClinton has improved dramatically is his speed. Now boasting legit 4.6 speed McClinton says it has helped him tremendously.
