Although college coaches have been busy finalizing their lists for the 2008 recruiting class, don't think for once that they haven't been inquiring about next year's class. One name in particular that has been floating around early on is DE/TE Aldrick Fordham. SCPrepNation.com recently spoke with the Timberland High standout to get the latest news on his recruitment. Read inside for more details.
Timberland High's Aldrick Fordham
has been diligently holding on to a scholarship offer from SC State University. However, things could be changing fairly soon for the 2009 prospect. The 6-4, 220 pound DE/TE has been recently drawing interest from an ACC program; Wake Forest
to be exact. They have taken a liking to him, and it appears that he's quite fond of them as well. "I went up for one of their games this year," Fordham said. "Their stadium is real nice. I had a chance to check out their locker rooms too. I had a good time up there. Actually, I think they're pretty close to offering me."
Fordham told SCPrepNation.com that the trip previously mentioned, wasn't his first time in Winston Salem. "I went to one of their camps over the summer," Fordham said. "I learned a couple of things at the camp that I didn't know about before. It was a pretty intense camp. It was a great experience."
According to Fordham, Wake Forest isn't the only school that has been expressing interest in him. The two-way star has been drawing interest from quite a few mid-major programs. Currently Fordham does not have a favorite, and will continue to take his time with his decision.
