Rockarius King: Drawing High Major Interest

Timberland High School running back, Rockarius King, had another fine season on the football field this past fall. As a result, he has been receiving attention from several major D-I programs across the country. SCPrepNation.com recently spoke with the 5-7, 180 pound RB to get the latest. Read inside to find out who's been inquiring about the Timberland High star.

Rockarius King gave LowCountry fans a lot to cheer about on last fall. The junior running back rushed for over 1700 yards and scored 20 touchdowns for the Timberland Wolves. Not bad considering the fact that he missed a couple of games due to minor injuries.

After tallying up last season's numbers on the ground, King eclipsed the 4,000 yard rushing mark. With one more season remaining, the 5-7, 180 pound work horse is well on his way to putting the school's rushing record out of reach.

Lately King has been very busy collecting several pieces of hardware to add to his trophy shelf. With that being said, he is hoping that it's only a matter of time before he starts collecting a few scholarship offers. "I don't have any offers right now," King said. "But, I've been receiving letters/interest from Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and Notre Dame so far."

Rockarius has been working on a very extensive off-season plan. He informed SCPrepNation.com that he is doing everything in his will to make sure that his last season is a memorable one, "I've been working really hard," King said. "I've been running a lot, and working out really hard in the weight room. I'm just doing everything I can to prepare myself for next season."

Though Rockarius has yet to receive that first offer, we feel that it is only a matter of time before they start rolling in. With that being said, SCPrepNation.com will continue to keep you up to speed on the Timberland High standout.
