Byrnes Set For 2 Out-Of-State Opponents

It's almost become tradition as of late for the Byrnes Rebels to schedule out of state opponents each season. Next year they take on two pretty substantial programs, one from Georgia and another from Florida. Come inside and see who will tangle with the Rebels and 2010 star RB Marcus Lattimore (pictured) next year.

The Byrnes Rebels have scheduled two games for next season against out of state opponents. The Rebels have made it a normality to schedule games against out-of-state opponents in seasons past. This past season they took on Centerville High (OH) and Dr. Phillips (FL) as they went undefeated in winning the AAAA Division 1 state championship.

Next season's out-of-state opponents for Byrnes will be equally as strong as seasons past. On August 29th the Rebels will travel to to take on the North Gwinnett Bulldogs. Last season North Gwinnett went 13-2 losing only to Prattville (AL) which eventually won the Alabama 6A state championship and Lowndes which won the Georgia 5A state championship.

The Rebels will also play host to the Lincoln Trojans (FL) on September 19th. The Trojans went 10-2 last year losing to Valdosta (GA) and First Coast (FL) who also happened to play Berkeley High last season on ESPN. The Trojans won the 6A state championship in 1999 and the 4A state championship in 2001. They also have produced numerous D1 prospects and NFL talent such as San Diego CB Antonio Cromartie over the years.
