C.J. Missick Picks Up First Offer

The wait is over… Stratford High School LB, C.J. Missick, has picked up his first scholarship offer from an in-state D1 program. SCPrepNation.com spoke briefly with his mother to get the very latest.

It's been a long time coming for the Stratford High standout in regards to landing his first scholarship offer. Linebacker, C.J. Missick, recently picked up his first scholarship offer from SC State University. "They have been very heavy on him from the beginning," Alma DeVeaux said. "I really think it would be a good fit for him, but I think he (C.J.) wants to keep his options open right now. He still has a little bit of time, so we'll see what happens."

C.J. was commonly known for his aggressive style of play on the field. On this past fall, he recorded 140+ tackles and 20 TFL for the Knights defense. With those types of numbers, it's no wonder why he has been the recipient of several All-Area/All-State awards.

C.J. closed out his high school football career on a very high note approximately a month ago in Conway, South Carolina at the 60th Annual North-South All-Star Game. Despite losing the game, Missick walk away with the Defensive MVP award for the South squad.

Who will be the next program to pull the trigger on the stud linebacker? We will have more on the Stratford High star as his recruitment continues to heat up.

Note: Missick may also be interested in taking his talents to a prep school in order to showcase his talents more to prospective colleges. Considering his talent and stats it may be a great decision if he does go that route as he's flown under the radar far too long. We will keep you informed on the very latest.
