SG Robbie Dreher Goes For 32 In Rout

Southside SG Robbie Dreher has started to catch fire in recent weeks and Tuesday night saw the 2009 star drop 32 points against Woodruff High School in a 113-37 rout.

Things were a little shaky for the Southside Tigers early on this season as they lost SG Robbie Dreher to an ankle injury early on. The Tigers lost 2 games to neighborhood rivals J.L. Mann early this year but at 12-2 on the season the Tigers are currently playing their best basketball.

The Woodruff Wolverines ran into the Southside buzzsaw on Tuesday night as the Tigers ran up and down the court knocking down shots at a rapid pace. The Tigers in fact broke a school record for most points scored in a game. Dreher lead the way with 32 points while fellow D1 prospect Quinton Thomas added 22 points. Joe McKinney and Warren Franklin chipped in with 12 points each as the Tigers nailed 13 three pointers. Dreher knocked down 6 triples during his outburst.

For the Wolverines Maurice Gilliam put together a nice effort with 22 points as they were outmatched by the reigning AA Upper State champions.

We'll have more on Dreher and his season as he leads the Tigers towards another run into the AA playoffs so stay tuned.
