"Sean is 5-9 and weighs about 185 pounds," Coach Freeman said of his gifted running back. "He runs a 4.6 in the forty, bench presses 275 pounds, and has a 33 inch vertical."
Coach Freeman goes on to tell us about the astonishing numbers that Davis put up last season during his junior campaign. "Last year Sean had 2,130 yards rushing and 27 touchdowns," he said. "I know he was the leading rusher in the state during the regular season, but I'm not sure if he was the leader at the conclusion of the playoffs."
Shortly after becoming a member of the 2000 yard rushing club, a club that only features a selected few, only two major programs have been inquiring heavily about the 5-9, 185 pound athlete. However, Coach Freeman doesn't expect that to last very long. "He's been getting some mail from South Carolina and Clemson," said Freeman. "A few people may be worried about him because of his size (height), but I really feel like things are going to pick up this spring whenever they see him and start watching film on him."
When SCPrepNation.com asked Coach Freeman for a scouting analysis on the talented running back; this is what he had to say… "Sean is a real hard runner," Coach Freeman said. "He's not one of those backs who'll shy away from a little bit of contact. He's very patient with letting the blocks set up. He reads the field really well. He's a good receiver out the backfield also. He can do a little bit of everything; he's just an all-around good athlete."
