2010 Intro: Irmo High RB Mustafa Green

Irmo High School running back, Mustafa Green, cracked the1000 yard rushing barrier as a sophomore last fall. To be frank, his numbers were closer to the 2000 yard rushing mark. SCPrepNation.com caught up with the Irmo High standout for a quick Q&A regarding his sophomore campaign on the field and some of his plans for the near future. Q&A With Mustafa Green

SM: First of all, tell me a little bit about your stats from last season.
MG: Last season I had 1,794 yards rushing. I wasn't too far off from hitting 2000 yards. I think I scored about 14-15 touchdowns too.

SM: Was there a particular game that stood out to you from a season ago?
MG: Yes Sir, I would say the Lexington game. I ran for about 250 yards and scored 3 touchdowns in that game.

SM: What are your biggest attributes on the field?
MG: I would say my ability to see the holes and my ability to break tackles.

SM: How big are you currently?
MG: Right now I'm 6-0, 185 pounds.

SM: I know it's a little too early for colleges to officially contact you, but has anyone been inquiring about you, as you know of?
MG: Yes Sir, I've been getting a little bit of interest from Clemson and South Carolina. Ohio State knows about me also. My coach stays in touch with them pretty often.

SM: What have you been up to lately in regards to preparing for your junior season?
MG: I've been basically working out hard in the weight room and working on my speed. I am benching about 300 pounds right now. I run a 4.6 in the forty, but I'm working very hard to get that down.

SM: Who do you plan to camp with this spring/summer?
MG: I plan to camp with Clemson and South Carolina, and whatever camp(s) my coach sets up.
