Each year schools start offering earlier and earlier. The class of 2009 has more than its fair share of top flight talent. With that said, Byrnes WR Ricco Sanders will be near or at the very top of the 2009 wide receiver list not only in the Palmetto State but quite possibly nationally. With 2 big offers already in hand Sanders filled us in on his latest offer.

"I got offered by the Florida Gators." The SEC powerhouse and national champions from 2 seasons ago saw Ricco on film and it didn't take long before they joined Clemson and Georgia with the scholarship offer. Sanders talked about the offer and what he likes about the Gators. "I like the type of offense they run. They try to get the ball to the receivers as much as they can. I like the school a lot. They called coach Miller at school and then faxed the offer. Their receivers coach made sure to let me know it was an official offer."

Given 3 huge offers Sanders hasn't let it go to his head whatsoever. "It makes me feel good. I know I have to keep working even harder to continue to get better though. I have another year left and I have been working extremely hard to get better in all phases of the game."

Considering that he's hearing from schools all over the country Sanders says at this point he's wide open still. Asked if there was any chance he might commit early he replied quickly, "No chance. I will wait at least until next season starts at least."

As mentioned in a previous interview with him Sanders says the strength of a school's football program and tradition would play a major role in his process.

"As of right now I plan on trying to make visits to Clemson, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina." He recently attended South Carolina's junior day where he made the trip with teammates CB Riyahd Richardson, S Justin Bright, and RB Marcus Lattimore.

Lately Sanders has been working everyday lifting weights and watching tons of game film. The weights are obviously to get stronger and faster but he filled us in on his reason for watching so much game film. "After I lift, I go watch film as much as possible everyday, it's something I enjoy because it helps me read defenses and coverages which is an area I want to improve on. Plus during practice we go up against a pretty strong defense everyday so I hope to get better with it with all of those things."

Along with those aforementioned visits Sanders says he'll attend the Nike Combine and may look at the Shrine Bowl Combines as well. will keep you up to date with the very latest with Ricco Sanders as he continues to blow up in the recruiting world so keep it locked right here!
