It certainly didn't take long for programs to start taking notice of Hanahan High's Nick Carson, after introducing him back in January. The palmetto prep star has been receiving interest from quite a few DI programs lately. "I got a few letters in the mail last week from Auburn, Tennessee, Elon, and Middle Tennessee State," the 6-1, 175 pound DB said with the sound of excitement in his voice. "I am also getting some interest from South Carolina. They want me to send them a game film to evaluate."
Last fall as a junior, the 2A All-stater picked off 10 passes from his defensive back position and registered 67 tackles. In a play-off game against 2A power Dillon, Carson picked off 3 passes for Hawks defense.
Lately, Nick has been working very diligently to elevate his game to the next level. In order to do so, he has been spending a lot of time with 2008 Clemson signee, Branden Ford. "Branden and I really like working with each other," Carson said. "We do a lot of one-on-one drills together. We both know what we need to work on. Branden and I help each other out a lot."
Nick cannot wait to display his skills on the camp circuit this summer. Wherever he goes, you can rest assure that he's not looking to come home empty-handed, if you know what I mean…
