Fort Dorchester High School has had its share of success with sending athletes to the next level. With that in mind, ATH Galen Bennett should undoubtedly be the next one in line to enter the college ranks. SCPrepNation.com recently spoke with the 5-10, 165 pound ATH, to see how things have been progressing as of late. Come inside to learn more about the talented playmaker from Fort D…

With 4-star DE Robert Quinn and All-State DB Tony Mack heading to the college ranks next fall, all eyes will be focused heavily upon ATH Galen Bennett. The projected 3-year starter will be back in a Patriots uniform next fall to dazzle the crowd once again…

Galen is not well-known on the recruiting circuit, but you can certainly expect that to change fairly soon. The LowCountry prospect just recently started receiving letters from a couple of DI programs, and expects quite a few more to show up in his mailbox. The Fort Dorchester playmaker informed SCPrepNation.com that he has been getting letters from Alabama, Tennessee.

Bennett has been primarily lining up under center for the Patriots. The 5-10 field general talks a little about his numbers from a season ago. "Last season I passed for over 1000 yards," Bennett said. "I also had over 1000 yards on the ground. Running the ball was probably my biggest strength on the field last year."

Although Galen has been lining up under center for the past two years, he is well aware of the fact that he may have to make a switch to WR/RB on the next level. However, he has no reservations about it whatsoever…

Galen doesn't have any immediate plans in regards to where he will be camping this summer. However, we are certain that wherever he goes, he will turn the heads of many.

Stay tuned with SCPrepNation.com as we bring you more on the ‘09 sleeper from the LowCountry.
