Coaches Crowd For Carolina Celtics Victory

The Carolina Celtics are loaded with D1 talent and they are still in pool play at the Kingwood Classic in Houston Texas. After an opening game win they faced the Oklahoma Magic in their 2nd game. A number of interested college coaches stood front and center to witness the Celtics in action. Come inside and see how the Celtics did along with a recap of the coaches watching closely.

After a winning handily in their opener during pool play the Carolina Celtics faced the Oklahoma Magic in their second game of pool play. The results were similar as the Celtics were victories 58-35.

Quinton Thomas and Willis Hall lead the way with 11 points each. Robbie Dreher had 8 points but also put forth a tremendous effort defensively for the Celtics. Joe McNeely also gave the Magic fits with his pressure on the defensive end as well and chipped in with 5 points.

Devin Booker continued his stellar play. He had just 6 points but was key in the press that the Celtics employed that opened a 20 point lead coming out of halftime with the score 20-17. Top 100 prospect Kenny Manigault had 8 points in a solid effort as well. Khris Middleton was plagued by foul trouble and had 4 points.

The Celtics are playing in a remote gym but their presence brought out a number of head coaches. Clemson's Oliver Purnell and South Carolina's Darrin Horn were both front and center for the Celtics game. The contingent didn't stop there either. Coaches from St. Joseph's, Charlotte, Appalachian State, Northeastern, Fordham, and Buffalo were there with others coaches from across the country scoping out the talented Celtics.

The Celtics have won their pool and will next face the Carolina Raptors at 7:30 this evening. Stay tuned for more updates with!
