UP NEXT: Kingstree High ATH Reynoldo Grate

Kingstree, SC may not have ever been known as a hotbed for recruiting, but you can rest assure that the relatively small town will be well-represented by a host of college prospects over the next few years. Come inside and meet the first of many, to be featured in our UP NEXT" series. First up, sophomore ATH Reynoldo Grate…

Meet Reynoldo Grate, a 5-11, 185 pound ATH from Kingstree High School. Although he's only a sophomore, Grate is quickly establishing himself as one of the key contributors for the Kingstree High Football Team. Last fall as tenth-grader, Grate rushed for 516 yards on 82 attempts and scored 7 rushing touchdowns. He also threw 6 touchdown passes from the QB spot.

Although Grate has been spending a lot time on the offensive side of the ball, he could very well end up making guest appearances on defense. In fact, he's been told by several that he could end up at strong safety on the next level.

Although Grate has two years of prep ball remaining, quite a few big name programs have taken notice of him early on. "I've gotten letters from Notre Dame, Clemson, Tennessee, and Georgia so far," Grate said. "That's about it for right now."

Often times, when a young prospect starts receiving early attention, academics tend to take a back seat. However, this is certainly not the case with Reynoldo. "I have a 3.8 GPA right now," the 2010 prospect stated. "My grades are good in all of my classes. Academics are very important to me."

Reynoldo Grate has a chance to set himself up for unlimited opportunities. However, it is up to him to make the most of them. On that note, should he decide to take his game up a notch, you can rest assure his name will show up on several coaches list as high priority for their 2010 recruiting class.
