Schools are flocking to see 2009 SG Khris Middleton of Porter-Gaud. Middleton has 3 more offers in a matter of days and two of his teammates are starting to show up on the recruiting radar as well. F Jamal Curry and G Travis Smith are two more prospects to keep a close eye on in 2009. Come inside and get the latest with SCPrepNation.com!

We spoke with Porter-Gaud head coach John Pearson and he talked about the number of visiting schools that were to make the trip down to see Khris Middleton and two other Porter-Gaud prospects this week.

As for Middleton, who we've got ranked #2 in the state currently, Pearson said, "Temple, Fordham, Furman, and College of Charleston all came today. James Madison offered him last night and American University says they will offer him as soon as they get his SAT scores back. College of Charleston offered when they came over. South Carolina has been making a strong push. They've called me three times about him since this past weekend."

So in all Middleton has added offers from James Madison, College of Charleston, and soon American University. It would appear that he is very high on the wish list of the new staff at South Carolina as well. Middleton loved the former staff in Columbia and it appears Darrin Horn and company are trying to make sure they garner the same interest from Middleton as well. We'll see when and if the Gamecocks offer him.

Other big schools continue to recruit Middleton actively as well like Georgia Tech, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Iowa, Wichita State, and Saint Josephs. Should he continue to showcase his abilities as one of the nation's best kept secrets as a versatile scoring guard don't be surprised to see him snag an offer from one of those majors.

Two other prospects on Pearson's Porter-Gaud team are starting to get some love on the recruiting front as well. "Fordham came to see Travis Smith and South Carolina State did as well. State came to see Jamal Curry too. Furman is also looking at Jamal as well."

Both prospects are 2009 products as well. Curry is a 6'7 post player who's stock has been on the rise over the past year. Smith has come on strong as well as a 6'3 guard. We will have more in-depth interviews with both players soon so stay tuned to your #1 source for South Carolina high school football and basketball recruiting, SCPrepNation.com!
