Schools Visiting John Brown & Teammates

John Brown has become a commodity in the recruiting ranks and a few high major programs have already scheduled to swing by Battery Creek High next week to check on Brown and a few of his teammates. Brown talks about who's coming to visit and his eagerness for competing in the Under Armour/ combine this coming weekend inside.

John Brown Profile

"Spring practice starts next Monday. I can't wait. Coach West from Clemson is coming by next week and so is coach Elias from USC. NC State should be by too I think they said," an excited Brown told us. At 6'1 262 pounds and a 7 foot wingspan he's starting to garner some worthy attention on the recruiting trail.

Asked about the combine this coming weekend he said, "Yeah I'm excited about it. I'm looking forward to it. Just looking forward to the competition and seeing where I stand against some of the best in the region and nation. I'm really looking forward to one on one drills."

A sprained hamstring slowed him over a month ago but he is expected to be back in form heading into this weekend's combine. Brown has posted some very solid numbers in the weight room and has good mobility for a big man so it'll be interesting to see if he can post similar numbers or better this weekend. He has been clocked as fast as 4.75 seconds in the 40 yard dash which is strong for a defensive tackle his size.
