Ricky Moore: Clover FB Has Increased Interest

After a strong junior season and a strong solid showing at the Under Armour/Scout.com combine in Charlotte a few weekends ago Clover FB Ricky Moore continues to draw increased interest. One of the grittiest players in the state, Moore is starting to pop up on more schools' radar as of late. Inside he talks about the schools chasing him the hardest here lately.

With the evaluation period in full swing here recently college coaches have been making the rounds throughout the Palmetto State. One school that is getting frequent visits is Clover High School. Head coach Jet Turner and his squad are fresh off winning the AAAA Division 2 state title last year and there are a few D1 prospects on the roster for next season. 2009 FB Ricky Moore has been one of the big reasons for the stops at Clover.

In terms of athleticism Moore may not give you the wow factor when just glancing at him. That would be mistake number one. Ricky Moore is the epitome of what hard work and perseverance and that work is starting to come with a lot of interest from various D1 programs in the region. Moore's determination and effort have made him a player that is highly desirable when building a winning program. That attitude and desire apparently worked well for Moore and the Blue Eagles last year.

Moore talked with SCPrepNation.com about some of the schools who are showing him the most interest as of late. "Liberty and Georgia Tech have been calling me more than anyone else here lately. The running backs coach at Liberty said that I could start my freshman year there." Duke and North Carolina State remain high on the radar for the 2009 prospect as well.

Moore also informed us that teammate CB Chris Lindsey is also getting heavy interest from various programs throughout the southeast as well. Clemson, Georgia Tech, and Marshall are some of the schools taking a closer look at him early on. Lindsay was one of the state's leaders in interceptions last year. We will have a more in-depth interview with Lindsay later on this week so stay tuned.
