For coaches who value superb all-around student athletes Brett Johnson is jackpot central. The 2009 prospect from North Augusta could land scholarships athletically or academically, so he's got plenty of options. College coaches have loved what they've seen of him on the football field and we got the latest concerning Johnson in an exclusive update.
The Johnson household has plenty to be happy for as Brett's older brother just graduated from North Augusta and Brett's recruitment appears headed towards an opportunity to pick amongst a choice of strong football schools. His mother, Donna Johnson, gave us the latest. "He currently has offers from Air Force, Newberry, University of Pennsylvania, and was just offered by Presbyterian College. The Purdue coach (Brock Spack) came and watched spring practice and seemed very interested. During the month of June Brett will be doing several 1-day prospect camps along with several 7 on 7 team camps. The 1-day camps include North Carolina, NC State, Purdue, Indiana, and South Carolina. We will also be going to Colorado Springs with him to visit Air Force for 3 days as well."
Mrs. Johnson also informed us that Brett's basketball talents still land him mail on a daily basis from Yale University. Brett also finished the year with all-region in football, basketball, and golf.
