The Cheraw Braves are on the warpath for a state title
The Cheraw Braves have defeated the undefeated teams along with clobbering the not so tough teams. With only two losses, the Cheraw Braves are in high contention for their first state championship in nearly 10 years.
Despite beginning the season with a loss to Marlboro County, the Braves have defeated some of the top teams in the Pee Dee including Lamar and Dillon.
The Cheraw Braves traveled Friday night to Silver Bluff to take on the defending 2-AA State Champs in the second round of the Class AA State Playoffs. Shockingly, the Braves overcame the doubts and clinched a win over Silver Bluff, sending the Bulldogs to the porch.
Now, the Cheraw Braves will host a team closer to home, Mullins. The Mullins Auctioneers are back for another Cinderella season, simply proving last year's success was anything but a hoax.
