UP NEXT: LB/DE Josh Roseborough

Whenever you hear the word student-athlete, the name Josh Roseborough should follow closely behind. With the performance he has displayed on the field and in the classroom thus far, it's easy to see why several prestigious programs throughout the southeast region have been trying to track him down. Come inside to learn more about the Fairfield Central High standout.

Josh Roseborough spent the majority of last fall in the opponents' backfield, stirring up all types of commotion... As a result, he has been drawing attention from several elite programs throughout the southeast region. "Duke has been recruiting me pretty strong," the Fairfield Central standout said. "Virginia, Wofford and The Citadel have been coming at me pretty strong also. Clemson, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest have been on me as well."

At the conclusion of his junior campaign last fall, the 6-2, 215 pound LB/DE had a total of 57 tackles, 13 ½ sacks, and 17 tackles for loss tallied up on the stat sheets.

When asked to reflect on his best game from a season ago, several came to mind. However though, he did manage to pull out one in particular that was most memorable to him. "I really enjoyed our play-off game last year against Wade Hampton," Josh said. "I had a couple blocked kicks, and 2 sacks. I recovered a fumble and ran it back for a touchdown, but they called it back. But all in all it was a really good game for me."

The field isn't the only place where Josh excels. The rising junior just happens to be a standout inside the classroom as well. "I'm an honor student," he stated. "I am taking AP courses; my GPA is a 3.5. I'll be graduating as an honor student this year."

Josh already appears to have qualifying scores on the ACT and the SAT. "I have already taken both of them," he said. "On the SAT I got a 1400. I ended up with a 930 on the Math and Verbal. On the ACT I made a 19."

Josh desires to go to medical school. And with that in mind, he has been giving one particular ACC program a hard stare. "I'm really fond of Duke right now," he said. "I'm really looking at Duke hard. I'm really fond of their medical program; I really want to be a doctor one day. When they came at me hard, I really jumped on it because of how prestigious their medial program is."
