Gregory Brown had a solid performance on the field for Keenan High School last fall. The talented two-way athlete, who reports a 4.52 in the forty-yard dash, starred on both sides of the ball for the Raiders. The 5-9, 170 pound WR/CB pulled down 38 receptions for 500 yards receiving, and intercepted 5 passes on the defensive side of the ball.
Brown doesn't appear to be content with his performance on the field from a season ago. So with that in mind, he has set aside a couple of goals for this fall, and the stakes are high… "I want to make my stats better than last year," the '09 prospect said. I also want to be the best wide receiver in the state this fall."
Brown does not claim any offers currently, but he sure has grasped the attention of quite a few programs within the Southeast Region. And with that being said, there are two particular programs that have really been making their voices known to the Columbia, SC native… "The Citadel and Duke," Brown said. "Those two schools have been expressing the most interest in me as a prospect."
Gregory has not been on very many college visits, but could be taking a number of them in the near future. The class of 2009 standout informed SCPrepNation.com that he has already set up visits with South Carolina, Charleston Southern, and Coastal Carolina for this fall.
Who will be the first program to pull the trigger? Stay tuned with SCPrepNation.com to find out…
