RB Arthur Goforth is one of the state's best kept secrets from out of the Midlands Area of South Carolina. recently had the privilege of speaking with the Keenan High standout to see how things have been shaping as of late. Inside Goforth talks the latest on his recruitment and his goals for the 2008 season.

Arthur Goforth may not be one of the highest rated prospects on the recruiting boards, but his play on the field has certainly been impressive enough to land him a few DI scholarship offers. "I have four offers right now," Goforth said. "They are from the Air Force Academy, Western Carolina, The Citadel, and Presbyterian."

According to Goforth, it may not be long before another program joins the race for his services. "Western Kentucky," Goforth told "They are one of the main programs that have been recruiting me. I camped with them over the summer, along with Louisville."

Arthur plans to take a few official/unofficial visits this fall, but does not have anything locked in stone. For now his top priority is to have a successful senior season this fall, which began on last Friday Night when his team took on East Clarendon High. As expected, the 5-9, 170 pound athlete turned in a solid performance to help bring his team out on top. "We came out with a victory; 27-7," the talented athlete said. "I scored 1 touchdown, and had 145 yards rushing and 52 yards receiving."

Although Goforth had a productive performance on the field last Friday Night, he is looking for ways to take things up a notch in order to achieve the goals he has set aside for the 2008 season. "I would like to get over 2000 yards rushing this year," Goforth said. "I would like to make it to the Shrine Bowl too. I also want to help my team have a winning record this fall."

Goforth reports a 4.48 in the forty yard dash and a 33 inch vertical. He also reports a 3.6 in the classroom, and an 850 on the SAT. He will be taking the ACT in October.

We will have more on Keenan High's Arthur Goforth as his recruitment continues to take shape, so stay tuned for much more.
