Week 2 PTPers

Due to the threat of Tropical Storm Hanna, a number of teams throughout the state will have to wait until Monday night to battle it out. However, there were still a number of games played between Thursday and Friday night, respectively. Inside, brings you an early look at some of the top performers like Sumter High's, Roderick McDowell (pictured) who put up huge numbers in Week 2.

Week 2 PTPers

- Senior running back, Roderick McDowell, rushed for 240+ yards and three touchdowns to help lead the Sumter Gamecocks over the Stratford Knights by the score of 42-35. McDowell also scored on a pass reception for Sumter HS.

- Running back, Ricky Moore, of Clover High School ran for 140+ yards and two scores to lead Clover to a 36-14 victory over Forestveiw (NC). Tyron Douglas added 130 yards and 1 score.

- RB Marcus Lattimore rushed for well over 200 yards and three scores to lead the nation's top-ranked HS football team (Byrnes) over the Ridge View Blazers.

- Terrence Wilson of Crestwood HS ran for over 220 yards on the ground and two touchdowns in a 41-7 win over Blythewood High School.

- QB Anthony Holman of Denmark-Olar HS passed for 230 yard and 4 touchdowns in a 35-0 win over CA Johnson. Holman also ran for another score.

- QB David Sims of Calhoun County was accountable for 4 touchdowns (3 passing, 1 rushing) in a 39-7 victory over Edisto High School Thursday night.

- Boiling Springs QB, Dylan Thompson, threw for over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns, and ran for another in a 62-28 victory over Wren.

- Chapin QB, Josh Miller, passed for nearly 240 yards through the air and 4 touchdowns to lead Chapin over Brookland-Cayce.

- Stratford QB, Tyler McDonald, was 25-of-35 passing for over 200 yards and three touchdowns, in a 42-35 loss to Sumter HS.

- Wilson High quarterback, Richard Cue, accounted for over 250 yards of total offense for the Tigers Thursday night. The senior QB passed for over 200 yards and 3 touchdowns as the Tigers defeated the South Florence Bruins by the score of 52-26. Wilson also ran for 2 additional scores in the win.

- ATH Renoldo Grate passed for 1 touchdown and ran for 2 additional scores in a 30-14 win over CE Murray.

- Cross High School QB, DeVante Jenkins accounted for 4 scores (3 passing, 1 rushing) to help lead the Trojans over the Cane Bay Cobras.

- RB Josh Murph of Boiling Springs ran for 150+ yards and 3 scores.

- Chester QB, Tony McNeal, passed for over 250 yards and 5 touchdowns.

- Quarterback, Daniel Smith, threw 5 touchdown strikes to lead North Myrtle Beach HS over Carolina Forest.

- Manning HS RB Jason Witherspoon rushed for nearly 200 yard and 3 scores in a 40-6 victory over Marion HS.

- Greenwood High S/RB D.J. Swearinger rushed for 140+ yards and 2 touchdowns, despite a 34-25 loss to Lexington High School. CB/RB Byron Best added 100 yards on 4 carries and 2 touchdowns.

- Gilbert RB Marco Anderson ran for over 180 yards and 3 scores in a victory over Pelion HS.

- RB Anthony Carden scored 3 TDs to help pace Lexington over Greenwood.

- Jerrell Priester of Allendale Fairfax ran for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead AFHS over HKT by the score of 44-12.
