SCPrepNationTV: S Warren Franklin

Every year there are guys who virtually come out of nowhere to become highly sought after in the recruiting ranks. Enter 2009 S Warren Franklin of Southside High School. Franklin at 6'1 190 pounds has tremendous upside and shows his talents in this exclusive film versus Wren High. A sleeper if you will, Franklin is one of the state's most underrated prospects/athletes. Check him out inside.

Warren Franklin Profile

We caught 2009 Southside S Warren Franklin in action during spring practice late in his junior season. After a dynamic showing while we were on campus at Southside we extended him an offer to the Under Armour/Scout.com combine in Charlotte. So on short notice the 2009 prospect made the trip to the Queen City and participated in his first combine experience. The results needless to say were strong despite his inexperience.

Franklin's Combine Results

  • 40 time: 4.63 seconds (slow surface)
  • Short shuttle: 4.41 seconds
  • Vertical: 33.5"
  • 3 cone: 7.81 seconds
  • Broad jump: 9'2

So in essence Franklin has been moving up the rankings as he's been learning on the fly. We checked in with him before a couple of events to try and coach him up as to what techniques he might want to employ and to watch some of the other prospects who already knew their way around a combine.

Schools like Clemson, Georgia Tech, and tons of regional programs are taking a close look at the underrated prospect.

Check out Franklin in action below by clicking the link as he shows off a range of talents in just a single game versus Wren High School. Franklin has a TFL, an interception, a spectacular pass deflection, a couple of tackles, and another near INT as well.
