The Columbia Capitals have suffered some huge injuries in 2008. With players like Damario Jeffrey and Chris Payne going down with season ending injuries the Caps have looked to 2009 WR Curtis Dunbar to help shoulder the offensive load. We caught up with Dunbar to see just how his senior season is unfolding and what his plans are for the future.
"My senior year has been good so far. We are 6-3 right now. Man wow. What a season. Man I didn't think it was going to be like this. Last year we had a good year."
For Dunbar he says he's taking things week by week. I just go out and play. I don't know what my stats are right now. I just go out there and play with my all.
There are schools who remain active with mail and contact for Dunbar. "I hear mostly from South Carolina State, North Carolina, Auburn, and Clemson." He ultimately hopes to land somewhere in the near future but wants any potential college coaching staffs to know this about him. "I'm a player. I just play the game and I do what my coaches ask me to do and more."
With his final regular season game up this Friday Dunbar's approach is quite simple. "We're just gonna go out and play, thats all. Just do what we do."
