Top Uncommitted 2009 SC Hoops Prospects

Rayshon Mack- Mack is a high energy player with very good athleticism and length. He plays bigger than he actually is due to those traits. He played fairly well on the AAU circuit this offseason. He's getting plenty of regional interest from some small programs and has been hearing a lot from the Nebraska Cornhuskers as well.

Jamal Curry- It's been a storybook couple of years for Curry. You see just two years ago Curry had never played organized basketball on the high school level. So he's got just a season of high school and AAU play under his belt now. Add the fact that he's grown to a legitimate 6'9 over the summer and is quickly adding moves to his arsenal and you see why he's snatched up a number of offers from regional programs. Upside is his biggest selling point right now. That along with tremendous athleticism. Has matched up against 5-star Milton Jennings and more than held his own in their battles. A strong start to his senior season and we may see his scholarship offers double in a hurry. We'll have a recruiting update with Curry to see just where things stand at the moment for him.

Brandon Curry- Schools looking for a lead guard to push the rock up the floor in a hurry should look no further, Curry is your man. He's not a big guard checking in at 5'10 but he's been wreaking havoc on the court for North Augusta and his AAU squad for the past few seasons. Right now we feel he's a definite mid-major level prospect but schools will want to see how well his offense starts out this season as most are aware that he can dissect a defense with his ballhandling and speed off the dribble. Stay tuned for more on Curry for the latest regarding his recruitment.

Jamie Jones- Jones is the biggest prospect on the board at 6'10 240 pounds. He is expected to start at center for the defending AA state champions, Southside High. Size is easy to sell as he had a decent showing on the AAU circuit this offseason showcasing his rebounding and shot blocking skill set. Word is he'll have to work on some academic issues before more schools get serious about upping the ante with an offer.

Stay tuned for more additions to the list as the basketball season draws near.
