Mustafa Greene Picking Up Offers In A Hurry!

This young man is en-route to becoming one of the most sought after recruits from out of the 2010 recruiting class, and he already has an impressive list of offers to prove it. Inside, SCPrepNation.com brings you a recruiting update on Irmo High School running back, Mustafa Greene. See who's extended an invitation to the Midlands Area standout early on.

Irmo High School running back, Mustafa Greene, erupted onto the scene last fall after rushing for over 1700 yards during his sophomore campaign. Well on this past season, the 2010 standout was back at it again, terrorizing opposing defenses with his skills. "I had a pretty good season on this past fall," Greene told SCPrepNation.com. "I had around 1300 yards rushing and at least 14-15 touchdowns. My numbers could have been a little bit better, but I missed about 4 games or so, due to injuries."

Despite missing a few games due to a couple of nagging injuries, you can clearly see that Greene without question, still managed to put together quite a productive year on the field. To be frank, a number of college programs feel the same way, which makes it easy to understand why several of them have been extending invitations to the gifted back to join their respective programs. "I have quite a few offers already," Greene said. "Right now I have official offers from Tennessee, Duke, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Notre Dame. I also have a lot of verbal offers."

Greene appears quite flattered with his early list of scholarship offers. However though, there are four other schools that the 6-0, 200 pound back would like to receive an invitation from; Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. Greene explains why below…

Ohio State: "OSU is a big-time program. They're a part of the Big-10, which is a really great conference. That's big-time football…"

Georgia: "I don't know a whole lot about them, but I know they have a good team every year. I also like the idea that they compete in the SEC. There's a lot of good competition in the SEC."

Alabama: "Another SEC school with a lot of competition. They are also a program with a lot of tradition. They actually came by my school the other day; Coach Burton Burns the RB coach."

Florida: "Another great SEC program that has a good team every year."

Although Greene has a personal list of favorites early on, he's simply not ruling out anyone at this time. He's informed us that everyone has a legitimate chance for this signature come Signing Day 2010. For now, he will continue to take his time and savor every moment regarding his recruitment.
