Powered by Stacy Wilson and Eric Smith the Mullins crew was able to come away with a 65-56 win over Socastee. Wilson had 25 points while Eric Smith had 13 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals in the victory. Socastee was led by Travers Woodward with 15 points.
Game 3 of the afternoon saw J.L. Mann take on Boys & Girls (NY). Turnovers plagued the Patriots as they weren't able to deal with a lot of the ball pressure and defense that the Boys & Girls squad put on them. In fact the Patriots committed 23 turnovers to just 6 for the NY school. On the bright side of things 2011 SG Damien Leonard had 28 points and 8 rebounds while 2010 SF Brandon Boggs had a very nice showing once again with 21 points and 5 rebounds.
Myrtle Beach took on M.L. King in game 5 of the day and from the outset like most of the SC squads who've taken on out of state opponents, the size difference was the biggest challenge. In the end Myrtle Beach fell 56-48 in a valiant effort from the Seahawks. Everett Golson continues to show his prowess as a legitimate D1 basketball prospect as his athletic legend continues to grow in the Palmetto State. Golson went for 16 points. Golson also had 3 assists and 3 steals in the loss. Jamere Valentine added 10 points for the Seahawks. Kawhi Leonard had 23 points and 18 rebounds for M.L. King.
