SCPrepNation.com continues to introduce you to some of the finest talent within the state. Today we bring you a look at yet another 2010 prospect in Rondrick Tucker. Tucker is currently a junior outside linebacker for Summerville High School, who yet still operates under the leadership of legendary coach, John McKissick.
Tucker, who currently stands at 6-1, 215 pounds without question has the potential to land a spot on some college team's roster at the conclusion of his prep ball career. And he more than proved it on the field last fall for the Green Wave, one of the most storied football programs in the Palmetto State. "I had a pretty good season last year," Tucker said. "I recorded 107 tackles, and 5 quarterback sacks."
Quite impressive numbers for the talented junior, to say the very least… While on the subject of numbers, Rondrick also informed us of his stats recorded against one of his team's biggest rivalries. "My best game last season was against Beaufort," Tucker said. "I had 18 tackles in that game. We beat them in Beaufort. It was a big win for us."
Things have been a little quiet on the recruiting front for Tucker early on. However though, he is in the process of mapping out his plans, in order to showcase his skills on the '09 camp/combine circuit. "I'm supposed to be going to a Nike Combine sometime soon," Tucker informed SCPrepNation.com. "I'll also be going to a couple of camps this year. I'm looking at South Carolina, along with a few others.
Rondrick is currently in the process of putting together a highlight tape of his junior season. Having that being said, we are certain that things will pick up for the 2010 star once his film starts to circulate around a little bit.
