Brett's mother, Mrs. Donna Johnson, informed us quickly about the North Augusta standout's decision. "We had the official visit this past weekend and it went very well. Brett, my husband, and I are very impressed with the entire coaching staff there and what the program has to offer in terms of a great education and top of the line facilities. Brett spent some time with several players and said they were great guys. LB Coach Wallerstat said Brett would be competing for a starting spot at inside LB."
After returning home to South Carolina Brett thought things through a little more and decided to ante up. "Brett committed to Air Force via cell phone conversation with head coach Troy Calhoun."
The Falcons have recruited the Palmetto State very thoroughly and even has a few offers left on the table to other in-state prospects in the 2009 class. Realizing how much talent flows from the SC high school ranks it appears Air Force may be making some pipeline connections for future recruiting classes. They in fact secured a verbal commit from 2009 Lake City ATH Gaston Stevenson just last week.
