Air Force Lands Another In-state Prospect!

The Air Force Academy has been doing a great job of swooping into the Palmetto State and courting a number of prospects for their 2009 recruiting class. Not only that, but they have been able to snatch up a few. In fact, they just received another verbal from an in-state prospect just moments ago. Find out inside, which '09 prospect will be flying high with the Falcons next fall.

Just a few days ago, the Air Force Falcons landed a verbal commitment from North Augusta LB, Brett Johnson. Well just a few minutes ago, another South Carolinian made a pledge to join the prestigious military program from out west.

Ridge View High School cornerback, Steffon Batts, is currently in the state of Colorado, taking in his official visit with the Air Force Academy. And after seeing what they had to offer him up close and personal, it didn't take the Midlands Area standout long to come to the conclusion that Air Force was the place for him. "I love this place," Batts informed SCPrepNation.com. "It's really nice. My dad likes it too. They have really been showing me a lot of love out here."

Batts is the 3rd in-state prospect to join the Falcons, and according to the 5-11 corner, he may not be the last. The Ridge View High star informed us that another in-state prospect could be on the verge of joining him soon, his teammate, Bucky Kennedy. Kennedy has also been on the Falcon's radar for quite sometime, and has been pondering over the idea of playing in the Mountain West Conference himself. I guess we'll have to wait and see how things play out.

Stay tuned for much more!
