Stay tuned for more updates as the day rolls on right here with!

  • A minor surprise to get the day going as 4-star WR Alshon Jeffrey from Calhoun County says he's headed to USC east instead of USC west. The Gamecocks hard work has paid off snagging another top in-state recruit.
  • As expected NC State receives commits from Rock Hill TE Asa Watson and T.L. Hanna WR Quinton Payton.
  • We have received word out of Northwestern High that Shrine Bowl WR/RB/ATH Jarrett Neely will be heading to Hutchison Junior College (KS) along with teammate DE/LB Hakeem Adams.
  • Their teammate LB Jerel Miller says he's heading to Georgia Southern to continue his career. Seems like a great fit for the ball hawking LB who will play with former Gaffney standout LB J.B. Shippy.
  • Greer OL Tymeco Gregory will sign with Wofford. The All-State selection could have an early impact for the Terriers. Joining Gregory at Wofford will be teammate WR Thomas Simmons who is an underrated burner who should fit nicely into the Terrier program.
  • Southside WR/ATH Marlin Butler and teammate DE/TE Will Hunt are set to sign their LOIs with Charleston Southern this afternoon at 3:30.
  • Going back to the 2007 class former Broome WR Markish Jones has decided to sign with California after playing JUCO ball for Compton. Apparently the speedster loved his experience in California after a recent visit. Jones will be joined by former Broome teammate LB Jerome Meadows in playing for the Bears.
  • Back to 2009 as Richland Northeast DE Chris Bonds inks with Alabama. Bonds despite an ACL injury is one of the state's top prospects. If he's healthy don't be surprised to see him making a contribution to Nick Saban's team within the next 2 years.
  • Woodmont CB/ATH Johnnie Houston has decided to sign with Coastal Carolina. It's a great pick up for the Chanticleers in our eyes.
  • Dorman's S Walt Canty and CB Taylor Sowell are both set to sign with Duke University.
  • Sticking with the Cavaliers of Dorman, OL Brandon Thomas will sign with the Clemson Tigers. Teammate OL Malcolm Boyd will sign with Liberty University.
  • Byrnes High will have S Justin Bright signing with Florida State. WR Ricco Sanders will ink with Mississippi State. LB Daniel Cleveland is headed to Presbyterian. OL Dylan Bishop and S Jamian Kelly are both headed to Tusculum (TN). OL Mitch Skul, OL A.J. Simpson, and OL Corey Bradshaw are all set to sign with Newberry.
  • Gaffney OL Denzelle Good will ink with North Carolina State. Teammate DL Darius Dawkins is headed to Greensboro NC to play for North Carolina A&T.
  • Over at Boiling Springs OL Tyler Phillips is expected to sign with Presbyterian. Highly underrated OL Jamey Cheatwood is taking his massive frame to block for Coastal Carolina.
  • Just got word that Dorman WR Sammie Kennedy will ink with Coastal Carolina too.
  • One of the state's top athletes, Chesnee QB Cedric Proctor, is set to sign with the South Carolina State Bulldogs. A great signing for Buddy Pough's squad.
  • Word out of Battery Creek High is that OL Aljanon Robinson and Arthur Fell will both sign with North Greenville. DT John Brown is waiting on test scores and if he makes the mark he'll ink with Johnson C. Smith. If not, he'll sign with North Carolina Tech. RB/ATH Tavaras Pinckney is still undecided but we'll find out the latest.
  • Dorman standout RB Ash Butler is headed to Brevard. Expect to hear a lot about Butler during his career given his exceptional speed.
  • In a bit of a surprise Greenwood DE Sam Montgomery has decided to sign with LSU. Many were expecting him to possibly sign with UNC considering how many NFL ties John Blake and Butch Davis have. Interesting to say the least but Montgomery is one of the most enjoyable prospects we've encountered over the past few years so congrats to Sam and his family.
  • As reported by yesterday Timberland OL Quinton Washington is headed to Michigan to play for Rich Rodriguez and the Wolverines. Washington joins class of 2008 standout CB/S J.T. Floyd of J.L. Mann High in Ann Arbor.
  • Greenwood High standout S D.J. Swearinger honors his commitment and is headed to South Carolina.
  • Bishop England LB Bay Amrhein is headed to The Citadel.
  • Conway High standout LB/S Michael Frazier is set to ink with Appalachian State.
  • Georgia Southern strikes paydirt again as Myrtle Beach WR Jamere Valentine gives them a commit.
  • Myrtle Beach High S Demazio Skelton, a Shrine Bowl selection, will head to Georgia Military to work on his academics and increase his stock. Expect big time programs to come knocking once he gets things in order as he's one of the fiercest safeties we've seen in quite a while.
  • DE Brad Spivey of Myrtle Beach High will join Skelton at Georgia Military.
  • TE Kinard Gadsden-Gilliard of Georgetown is headed to South Carolina State. Gilliard could possibly show up on the basketball roster too for the Bulldogs from what we hear.
