SEC Program Pays Pee-Dee Area Star A Visit

The Evaluation Period is now into full swing, and several college coaches are out and about trying to collect the pieces for their 2010 recruiting class. One particular prospect that they'll be checking on this spring is Kingstree Senior High ATH Renoldo Grate.

Now that we are in the midst of the Evaluation Period, college coaches are making their way out to various schools to check on a number of prospects for their 2010 recruiting class. And one particular prospect that coaches have been checking on this spring is Kingstree Senior High ATH Renoldo Grate. In fact, the 6-0, 185 pound athlete had a surprise visitor at his school earlier today.

"Coach Steve Spurrier Jr. from South Carolina came by my school earlier today," the 2010 sleeper prospect told "He just basically came by to check on me to see how things have been going."

Grate is certainly no stranger to the Gamecocks. In fact, the SEC program has been keeping an eye on the Pee-Dee Area standout since he was a 10th grader. "South Carolina has been showing interest in me since my sophomore year," Grate said. "They've been steadily sending me letters, and talking to my coach. They want me to come up for a camp this summer, so they can evaluate me some more."

Tennessee, Georgia Tech, and Stanford are just a few others that have been expressing interest in the talented prospect. Which one of them will be the next program to walk through the doors of Kingstree Senior High School to check on the gifted 2010 prospect?
