SCPrepNation.com recently caught up with Blythewood High School defensive tackle, Curtis Hill, to see how things have been progressing on the recruiting front as of late. "It's been going well," the gifted DT told SCPrepNation.com. "I picked up my first scholarship offer from Wisconsin. They offered me about 2 weeks ago. They spoke to my coach first, and then they sent the letter to my house."
Needless to say, the big guy was very excited when he first learned of his offer from the Big Ten program. However though, Hill informed us that there are two other members from the Big Ten Conference that have been flirting with him pretty heavily. "Michigan State, and Michigan," the big guy told SCPrepNation.com. "Both of them have been sending me a lot of letters also.
Hill also made mention that North Carolina State, South Carolina, Georgia Southern; along with several others have been expressing genuine interest in him as a prospect.
Last fall, the 6-2, 280 pound DT registered 51 tackles, 14 TFL, and 3 sacks for the Bengals. However, he didn't appear too satisfied with his performance in ‘08. "I would like to have more tackles this season," Hill said. "That is my personal goal for this season."
Although Hill has set aside a personal goal for this upcoming season, the 2010 prospect informed us that he has his heart set more towards his team's goal for the '09 season. "We would like for us to go undefeated and win he State Championship this fall," he said. "Last year we finished 5-5, but we have quite a few players coming back this season. I'd like to finish off my high school career by winning a championship."
