Jerrell Priester has landed his first major college scholarship offer, and the 5-10, 170 pound athlete shared the great news with SCPrepNation.com earlier today.
"I was at track practice today, and my coach informed me that Coach Brown from Notre Dame had called and offered me a scholarship," Priester told SCPrepNation. "They want me to give them a call tonight so we can talk a little more about it."
Priester informed SCPrepNation.com that he's been on Notre Dame's radar for quite a while now, and that he was expecting for the Irish to extend him an invitation. "I've been talking with Coach Brown for a minute, and he told me that they were going to be coming down on May 12th," Priester said. "He also told me that they were probably going to offer me before then. I trusted in him, and he came through with the offer."
Priester now has two offers to his name with his first coming from South Carolina State University. However, the Allendale-Fairfax speedster informed us that more offers could certainly be on the way now that the Evaluation Period is into full swing. "Georgia Tech came by my school today," Priester said. "Buffalo, Kentucky, Clemson, Vanderbilt, and a variety of other schools are supposed to be coming by to see me. So we'll see what happens."
Who will be the next program to step up with an offer for the gifted athlete from out of Allendale-Fairfax High School? Stay tuned in with SCPrepNation.com to find out.
