Zach Miller Continues To Draw Heavy Interest

One of the top cornerbacks this year in the Palmetto State is Byrnes CB Zach Miller. Taking over as a starter due to an injury to current Kentucky CB Cartier Rice things have essentially taken off for Miller ever since. We caught up with Miller for a quick update regarding his recruitment and offseason plans.

As last season drew to a close things were just starting to heat up for 2010 Byrnes CB Zach Miller. Drawing great attention from many southeastern colleges Miller has become a wanted man due to his speed and ability to lockdown opposing wide receivers. caught up with Miller to talk about the very latest regarding his recruitment and plans for this offseason.

Last season North Carolina reportedly verbally offered Miller and after helping lead the Rebels to yet another AAAA Division 1 state championship things have slowed down somewhat for Miller. The 2010 prospect told us the very latest in regards to his recruitment and why he hasn't received any additional offers since then.

"Right now I'm just waiting on taking the SAT. There's a lot of schools that are showing me interest still but they're all waiting on me to get my SAT scores back. Right now Colorado, Louisville, Cincinnati, and NC State are showing me the most interest along with North Carolina of course."

Zach was set to attend last Sunday's Fox Sports/ combine at West Charlotte High School but a time conflict with his job wouldn't allow him to participate. "I really wanted to come but I had to work. I know there were some top wide receivers and defensive backs there and I wanted to compete to show everybody that I'm one of the very best."

Miller says he'll continue to work hard at improve all facets of his game as he's eager to work his way up in the rankings. With blazing closing speed and good technique we expect Miller to remain near the top of the list when it comes to rankings not only in South Carolina but the entire southeast region.
