KF: You just got an offer from East Carolina. What do you know about the Pirates?
LS: I went to visit ECU on Junior Day. I was impressed, they had a great weight room, and their coaching staff is a very good one. Coach Petty is from Boiling Springs High School, so thats a plus, the head coach was a very nice guy when I met him on junior day. I also really like o-line coach, coach Shankweiler, he is a great coach. I also know ECU was very successful last year, and also my head coach's son Josh Clark was a freshman offensive lineman last year so thats also a plus.
KF: How does it feel to have offer #3 in hand now?
LS: It feels great. I'd like to thank God for putting me in this position, I never would have imagined it. People who have coached me in my younger years probably wouldn't have either. I never made a little league all star team, but I worked hard. Coach Clark and his son have made me a better football player and a better man. Being in this position is very humbling, it feels great, it just makes me want to work harder.
KF: What schools have been by school recently to check you out?
LS: East Carolina, Duke, NC State, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Air Force, Appalachian State, Citadel, and many more have been at practice.
KF: How strong is your interst in Notre Dame?
LS: It's very strong. I am planning to attend camp there this summer and check the place out. They have a great tradition.
KF: What if Stanford or Duke were to get more into the mix like Vanderbilt is currently? Being strong academic programs would they get more consideration based upon the weight that a degree from their respective schools carry?
LS: Absolutley. Those are some of the top prestigious academic institutions in the world, and they have solid programs. Academics are very important, although we all have dreams of playing in the NFL, and if i was fortunate enough to play in it, it doesnt last a lifetime. A great degree from a college however, does last a lifetime.
KF: What schools out there are you not hearing from that you would like to in the near future?
LS: Any school honestly. I'm open. I want to go somewhere to help the team to the best of my abilities. Whether its as a tackle, guard, or center.
KF: What camps or visits do you have lined up?
LS: South Carolina, Wake Forest, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, NC State, and ECU. I'm trying to finalize those but I have not at this point.
KF: For a while there NC State was pretty much at the top of your list. Are they still at or near the top? What is your take on the Wolfpack?
LS: Yes, they are up there for me. I'm just wainting until camp and hoping they offer at that point. I really like their school, their program, and o-line coach Horton.
KF: What are your immediate goals for improving your stock currently?
LS: I'm working hard in the weight room. I'm working on my speed and agility, and overall conditioning. So I can perform well at camps, to hopefully recieve scholarship offers so I can make a solid decision from a wide variety of schools.
KF: What should all potential college coaches know about Logan Stewart?
LS: That I play extremely hard. I work hard and that I can play center, guard, or tackle. I'm also very smart with an offense. I like to know the whole offense like the back of my hand. I also have pretty good size and that I'm working hard everyday with strength coach Justin Clark to better my strength speed and athletic abilities.
KF: Are there any schools out there that you may consider committing to on the spot if they were to offer you or would you take your time to evaluate every offer you receive?
LS: It just depends how I felt about it. I want to make a solid decision, so I would probably have to think it out.
