Okoye Houston Scores 2 C-USA Offers

As the evaluation period closed offers have been made to top prospects across the Palmetto State. Okoye Houston of Woodmont High can add his name to that list now. After scoring an SEC offer early on now two Conference USA programs have extended the highly underrated Woodmont star a scholarship. Come inside to get the latest on Houston as he talks about future camp visits as well.

Okoye Houston Profile

We caught some flak when we had Okoye Houston ranked #12 in the state in our early SCPrepNation.com Top 2010 prospects list a few months back. We hate to tell you we told you so....but we told you so. As Houston's highlight film has been making the rounds lately he's added some offers to his growing list of schools. In fact, not one but two Conference USA programs have hopped on board with offers recently.

"I got two more offers. East Carolina and Marshall have offered me. I'm going to Marshall's one day camp on Sunday and then heading to Clemson and South Carolina one day camps sometime in the next two weeks," Houston told SCPrepNation.com.

So now Okoye holds offers from Vanderbilt, East Carolina, Marshall, and Coastal Carolina. While he will be visiting the two largest in-state programs during the next few weeks a number of other programs are still heavily in the mix. Schools such as Alabama, Maryland, Tennessee, Louisville, Illinois, and Duke are also staying in constant contact with the standout from Woodmont High.

Expect Houston's list of offers to grow as he's got great size, speed, instincts, bone-jarring tackling ability, and last but not least a GPA upwards of 3.0. Couple that with not only the desire to make the big play but the uncanny ability to actually go out and do so in crunch time situations and you can see why we're so high on this young man.
