With his football career in jeopardy after running into some off the field issues 2009 Greenville High DE Mike Davis says he's ready to right the ship. Davis landed a scholarship offer from Presbyterian but soon afterwards his senior season was cut short due to those legal problems.
Davis contacted SCPrepNation.com and informed us that he's cleared up those matters now and that he wants to try and continue his education and football career.
"I signed with NC Tech," Davis told us.
There Davis hopes to resurrect his recruiting status and land somewhere on the college level so that he can obtain a college degree while playing the game he loves and has dominated for quite some time while at Greenville High.
We'll keep our eyes on Davis at NC Tech as he and a couple of other top SC prospects like Byrnes CB Riyahd Richardson from the 2009 class have signed on with the Charlotte based prep program. Stay tuned.
